Use Comments and Attachments Together
Pair files with explanatory comments so reviewers know why an attachment matters.
Comments and attachments are most useful when they work together. A file provides evidence or detail, while a comment explains why that file matters.
Recommended approach
When uploading an attachment:
1. Upload the file 2. Add a comment describing: - what the file contains - why it matters - what action is needed next
Example
Instead of only uploading a diagram, upload the diagram and add a comment like: "This diagram shows the current dependency flow that is blocking onboarding. Please review before converting this discovery request into an application."
Best practice
Do not assume the next reviewer will know why a file was attached. Add a short explanation in the activity timeline.
