How to Upload an Attachment

Attachments let you add useful supporting files to work items and approvals in NxtLayr.

Before you start

Make sure:

• the file is relevant to the work item
• you are on a page that supports attachments
• the file name clearly describes the content if possible

Steps

1. Open the supported work item or approval 2. Locate the Attachments section 3. Select Upload Files 4. Choose one or more files 5. Wait for upload to finish

What happens next

After upload:

• the attachment appears in the file list
• the file can be opened later
• the attachment may be referenced during review or execution
• the activity timeline may record the upload, depending on configuration

Best practice

Use attachments to add evidence or context, not to replace important explanatory comments.
