Convert Custom Discovery to an Application

When a custom app discovery request is ready, it can be converted into a real application in NxtLayr. This transition moves the work from early discovery into formal onboarding and operational readiness.

When to convert a discovery request

Convert a custom discovery request when:

• the application scope is clear enough
• the request has enough implementation context
• the team is ready to manage the app in the standard application model

What happens during conversion

When a discovery request is converted, NxtLayr may:

• create or link an application record
• update the discovery request
• create onboarding workflow artifacts
• make the application available through application pages and onboarding views

How to convert a discovery request

1. Open Custom App Discovery Queue 2. Review the discovery request details 3. Review comments, attachments, and status 4. Select the conversion action 5. Open the new or linked application onboarding page

Best practice

Do not convert too early. Discovery should first capture enough technical and operational context to make application onboarding meaningful.
