Move a task, requested app, or discovery request to a new owner when the current owner is no longer right.
Reassign work when the current owner is no longer the right person to handle a task, requested app, or discovery request.

Supported work types
Depending on your permissions, you may be able to reassign:
- onboarding tasks
- requested apps
- custom discovery requests
Steps
1. Open the relevant page for the work item 2. Locate the assignment control 3. Select the new owner 4. Save the change if needed 5. Add a comment if the reassignment needs explanation
When reassignment is appropriate
Reassign when:
- scope ownership changed
- the current owner is unavailable
- the work requires a different skill set
- the original assignment was incorrect
Best practice
Do not silently reassign important work. Add a comment so the next owner understands why the item was moved.
