Troubleshoot Role Access

If you believe your navigation, landing page, or visible actions are incorrect, the cause is often related to role assignment or scope.

Common issues

I do not see the same menu as another user

NxtLayr uses role-aware navigation. Different users see different menus depending on their role and scope.

I land on the wrong home page

Your landing page is based on your role. If this looks incorrect, your assigned role may need to be reviewed.

I cannot open admin or operator pages

You may not have permission for those pages. Standard Users and read-only roles intentionally do not see many operator or admin surfaces.

I can see a page but not all buttons

Action visibility may depend on deeper permissions, ownership, current item status, or the type of workflow you are in.

Best practice

If access looks wrong, capture a screenshot and share the exact page and missing action with your administrator.
