Start with the correct view
Approvals Inbox usually supports at least two views:
- Inbox for requests assigned to you
- My Requests for requests you submitted
Choose the view that matches the work you need to do.
Use status filters
Use filters such as:
- all
- pending
- approved
- rejected
- cancelled
- expired
This helps you quickly isolate requests that still need action.
How to review a request
When reviewing an approval, check:
- title
- description
- request type
- expiry time
- attachments
- any supporting context or linked workflow details
How to approve
1. Open the request 2. Review the details 3. Add a decision comment if needed 4. Select Approve
How to reject
1. Open the request 2. Review the details 3. Enter a clear rejection reason 4. Select Reject
How to cancel your own request
If you are the requester and the approval is still pending:
1. Open the request from My Requests 2. Select Cancel

Use decision comments whenever possible, even for approvals. They improve clarity and reduce follow-up confusion.
