Approvals Inbox

Approvals Inbox is the main page for viewing, reviewing, and managing approval requests in NxtLayr. It supports both approver and requester workflows.

What you can see

Depending on the selected view, this page may show:

• pending approvals assigned to you
• approval requests you submitted
• request title and description
• request type
• status
• expiry time
• decision comments
• attachments

Common views

The page may include:

• Inbox
• My Requests
• status filters such as all, pending, approved, rejected, cancelled, expired

Common actions

Approvers may be able to:

• approve a pending request
• reject a pending request with a reason

Requesters may be able to:

• review request history
• cancel a pending request

Expired requests

If an approval request passes its expiry time before a decision is made, it is automatically marked expired and can no longer be acted on.

Best practice

When rejecting a request, include a clear decision comment so the requester understands what needs to change.
